Who We Are

The Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) is the ultimate authority responsible for promoting the noble principles of accountability, transparency and integrity across all Abu Dhabi government entities, and institutions, whether local or international, in which the Abu Dhabi government has a vested interest of over 25%.

What We Do

ADAA's primary mission is to ensure the most efficient use and protection of all public funds and resources across Abu Dhabi government entities by overseeing financial and operational activities, combating any identified or potential financial and administrative misconduct, and strengthening our national principles of integrity, transparency and accountability through stringent financial and administrative auditing.

Why We Do It

Accountability. In individuals, accountability is the acceptance of responsibility for one's actions. It implies a willingness to be transparent, allowing others to observe and evaluate one's performance. ADAA is itself accountable: for safeguarding public funds in Abu Dhabi government entities, meaning that an individual or department is held responsible for the performance of a specific function. Essentially, holding them liable for the correct execution of a particular task or set of tasks, even if they may not be the one actually carrying out the task.
