Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) is committed to protecting user privacy and will not collect any personal information unless the user chose to use one of the services provided by ADAA. Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority has the right to amend its privacy policy at any time without prior notice.

ADAA Mobile Application

Data Collection

We automatically gather and store certain information about the users’ visits to the mobile application. This general information is used for statistical purposes only and it includes:

  • IP address and geolocation to identify the country the user is accessing ADAA Mobile App from
  • The name of the top-level domain from which the user accessed the Internet (for example .ae, .com, etc.)
  • The type of phone OS used
  • The type of phone OS used
  • The pages you accessed at the site

There is another type of information that will be gathered if the user used the services provided within the application (Wajib Platform, Job Application ..etc), such information will not be saved in the application itself, rather, it will go to ADAA database directly. ADAA does not sell, exchange, or otherwise distribute the data collected for commercial or marketing purposes.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

You may browse and access information contained within ADAA mobile application without providing any personal information (information from which your identity is apparent or can be reasonably ascertained). If you voluntarily provide personal information (e.g. for you to use the services within the application), the information is saved and logged, if necessary, on our servers for the purpose of logging and tracking services.

Cookies

The use of cookies is a standard practice among internet portals and websites. Most Internet web browsers may be customised to reject cookies (allowing the user to accept, reject, or delete cookies). Rejecting and/or removing cookies, however, may lead to the loss of functionality on pages requiring cookies to fully function.

We use cookies on the website to:

  • facilitate the sign-up and sign-in process for our services,
  • personalise your experience
  • improve our application

Security

ADAA has appropriate security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that has been posted. These measures cover commercial software programmes and secure technology infrastructure to monitor network traffic, authenticate legitimate users, and identify unauthorised attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

Social Media Channels

ADAA mobile app uses social media channels to share information and engage with the public. By embedding the social media feeds on our mobile application, we aim at creating a seamless experience for you to access information and updates on ADAA.

ADAA shall not be held responsible for the contents of any of these social media websites. When you move from our website to another website, you will find that the other site has its own privacy policy.

Mobile Device Data

Each time you access ADAAs’ application we may automatically, access certain features from your mobile device and collect information such as the type of device you are using, the operating system running on the device, default language, location, and network provider.

Mobile Device Access

Some of our services may require you to upload supporting documents such as images, PDFs…etc. For this kind of service, we will access certain features – after obtaining your consent - from your mobile device, including files from your phone storage (images, files).
